I recently collected a whole bunch of nail polishes from Gwen which I had ordered from her TD spree. I'm featuring some of my new Misa polishes in this post. They are essentially the non-pink polishes featured in this picture.

High Waist Hue and Fashionista were the first Misa polishes I bought and they were "second-hand". That explains the amount that has been used. The rest are the new additions to my stash. And now for swatches and some random comparison swatches. Enjoy!

Woohoo! Presenting my second zoya haul which I collected from Pris some time back. Managed to do some swatching and here they are for your viewing pleasure. Zoya really doesn't disappoint formula-wise. They are smooth and pigmented, and what you see in the bottle is usually what you get on your nail (well to my experience until now). Two coats on and you're good to go! All of them score an intensity of 5 on the zoya website (1=Sheer - 5=Opaque).

I got myself three polishes from their winter 2010 collection Fire & Ice (although on their website it's now called the Flame collection. Not sure if it was renamed?). They are Crystal, Gloria and Valerie. The rest are from previous collections: Kelly - Wonderful collection, Edyta - Wicked collection and Harley - Twist collection.

The descriptions below are taken from the zoya website. Pardon my laziness.

Kelly: rich gray with soft purple and blue undertones. Creme finish. Opaque in one coat. Looks even better in two! Loves.

Harley: light concrete gray with subtle flecks of silver, gold and copper shimmer. Gorgeousness!

Crystal: light, silvered shiny blue metallic foil with sparks of brilliant yellow gold. I'm not a blue polish fan, but the gold glitter made me get it.

Edyta: a mixture of gold, olive, blue-green and smoky grey with a sparkling metallic finish. That's just one coat in the pic. Pretty amazing right? Already one of my favs!

Gloria: rose, mauve-pink and magenta foil particles with fold and subtle red metallic accents. Shiny flashy bling bling foil finish!

Valerie: royal purple, dark violet, red, deep pink and gold iridescence amplified by a glittering sparkle finish. I love me some purple all the time!

Swatched my zoyas on Sunday, but didn't have time to post it then. Well here goes.

Adina

Did a comparison of zoya Adina with OPI Significant Other Color. I chose the latter because it has the same gold/green duochrome thing going on when you look at the bottles (It was a bit hard to catch on the pics though). But the similarity ends there. OPI SOC is much sheerer in application. I applied three coats and it still looked pale to me. I guess I'm not used to those subtle soft shades. One way to use this would be to layer it over another colour to enliven it and give it that greenish/golden sheen. Click here to see it layered over OPI Black Cherry Chutney, looks pretty gorgeous I think.

Charity

Pris requested for a comparison swatch between zoya Charity and OPI Windy City Pretty. First main difference that can be seen is that Zoya Charity contains tiny golden shimmers while OPI Windy City Pretty has pink shimmers. Charity is also slightly darker than WCP and although both look pretty pink in the bottle, Charity leans more towards a dusty mauve on the nail.

Freja

Freja was the first shade I started wearing after receiving my zoya loot. Really loved the gunmetal shade, it was all shiny despite being grey. I chose to swatch it against OPI Brand New Skates instead of China Glaze Jitterbug which is all crazy shiny full of silver shimmer. Freja has tiny blue flecks but they are not very obvious, while OPI BNS has golden/green microglitter that really show on the nail.

Reece

With its golden sheen, Reece made me think of China Glaze Strawberry Fields. But they couldn't be any more different from each other, from the shade of pink to the golden glitter.

Zara

I couldn't find anything in my stash in this shade of purple, so no comparisons for Zara. I paired it with Reece here to show the golden sheen. Really pretty!

So how many times have I used the word "different" in this entry? I just couldn't find any dupes from my stash for my new zoyas. Well, that's a good thing right? Thanks for looking. The pictures did all the talking. :)
