haul: Inglot Rainbow Eyeshadow in 103R, 113R, 116R, 117R, 120R

I went for a short trip to KL in early April and my first stop was Sunway Lagoon which was on the way just before entering KL. One of the reasons for going there: to have a peek at the Inglot store.

All the eyeshadows that I have were bought from sprees and CPs (see my Inglot eyeshadows here: http://lillgoddess.onsugar.com/My-Inglot-palette-eyeshadow-swatches-20366998) and I had never been in an Inglot store in person.

It looked a bit intimidating from the outside. There were no customers and the sales people were all getting made up at the counter. I didn't have a list of things I wanted to buy and so, going in didn't seem very appealing. You know that feeling you get when you're in an empty store and you start touching things and the sales people have their eyes on you and watch your every move. I hate that.

Well, I did go in and came out empty-handed the first time round. I went again after lunch, during which I had access to wifi and could do some research on what I wanted to buy. My second trip to the store was more fruitful and I came out with a few items, namely, rainbow eyeshadows, duraline and a nail polish.

I'm gonna show you the rainbow eyeshadows that I bought. The palette started as a 3-pan and ended up being 5-pan cos I couldn't decide on the shades I wanted.

I believe the order of the shades is: 116R, 113R, 107R, 117R, 120R. They are all neutrals, the coloured ones didn't appeal to me as I wouldn't use them.

Essie Luxeffects Shine Of The Times comparison with Nubar 2010 and Inglot 202

This is a follow-up post on my Essie Luxeffects haul here. Doing a little comparison with two other similar flakies polishes that I have in my stash currently: nubar 2010 and inglot 202.

This is just one coat of Essie Luxeffects Shine Of The Times. It is just so dense and beautiful, won't you agree?

Comparison with Nubar 2010

One coat of Nubar 2010 doesn't produce as much flakies as one coat of essie Shine Of The Times.

At two coats, it is looking slightly better but I say no prize for guessing which one is a winner here.

Comparison with Inglot 202

Almost similar there. The density is on par with Shine Of The Times.

If I were to rank them, Shine Of The Times would win hands down, followed by Inglot 202 and lastly Nubar 2010

My Inglot palette (and eyeshadow swatches)

I am finally ready to show you all the Inglot eyeshadows that I have so far. The bulk of this collection was bought through Michelle's spree earlier this year and another batch was CP-ed by Kim when she went to KL. I didn't buy the Inglot Freedom System palette cos I wanted to put all of them in a Z palette that I had. As you can see, they all fit pretty nicely in this large Z palette. You can line 6 pans in a row and fill up to 3 rows with some extra space below. I thought I could use that space to put a brush there. I tried it and the palette wouldn't close properly. Maybe if I have a flatter brush or something. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I don't mind the empty space.

As you can see, I didn't organize them by colour but rather by numbers. The inglot eyeshadow colours do not have real names and are instead called by a number a letter. The latter represents the finish of the eyeshadow. e.g P = Pearl, DS = Double Sparkle, M = Matte. I mostly have Pearl finishes and bought a AMC Shine and a Double Sparkle to try.

Swatches are on bare skin without any base. They are really super pigmented. These are just one swipe swatches.

They really do not disappoint. I would really love to have more (never enough right?), but I'm pretty satisfied with what I have now.

Nubar 2010 vs Inglot 202, 203, 205 flakies polishes

Just a mini comparison between nubar 2010 and the Inglot flakies.

Nubar 2010

Inglot 202, 203 and 205

This is a light swatch of each polish over Illamasqua Force. At one coat each for the Inglot, you can see that the flakes are much denser in comparison to nubar 2010.

Inglot 205 swatches

This is the last entry on my Inglot flake polishes. These are from the Dream Collection (as per Inglot USA website). They are tiny 8ml bottles and cost USD10 each. In this post are swatches of Inglot #205.

The iridescence of the flakes in the light:

I swatched all the flake polishes over a black base so that the colours would look more vibrant and pop out.

I must admit that #205 is my least favourite of the three. It is mainly green/yellow and although pretty, there are no nuances of colours to look forward to.

Over a lighter base (OPI Mermaid's Tears)

See swatches of #202 here.

Inglot 203 swatches

This is a continuation of my previous post regarding my Inglot polish haul courtesy of Sophia. These are from the Dream Collection (as per Inglot USA website). They are tiny 8ml bottles and cost USD10 each. In this post are swatches of Inglot #203.

The iridescence of the flakes in the light:

#203 is generally a green/blue flake polish with flashes of teal and turquoise depending on the lighting.

Picture spam alert! :) Enjoy the swatches!

Inglot 202 swatches

When I knew that Sophia of the make-up blogette would be visiting Inglot while vacationing in Las Vegas, I decided not to give her a list of eyeshadows to CP (too many!), but a list of polishes instead. I had come across swatches of these flakies polishes while browsing some other blogs and thought that it would be a great opportunity to get my hands on them. And so, I unabashedly put these on my CP list and Sophia was ever so kind to get them for me (THANK YOU AGAIN!).

These are from the Dream Collection (as per Inglot USA website). They are tiny 8ml bottles and cost USD10 each. A bit pricey for the amount, but worth it if you are a flakies lover. I got them in #202, #203 and #205, and I finally got around to swatching them.

I took so many pictures of each polish that I think I will be posting most of them on my blog. If not, it would be just a waste. Haha! So I'm sorry for the photo spam, a lot might look the same after a while, but I just love the way they look.

The iridescence of the flakes in the light:

I swatched all the flake polishes over a black base so that the colours would look more vibrant and pop out.

This is #202. I think it's my favourite. It predominantly flashes orange, gold and green, kinda like Nubar 2010 which you can see here, but the flakes are much denser and look bigger too.

Enjoy the swatches!

Over another base, an army green from Holika Holika.

Tell me what you think! :)
